My name is Melissa Prewasnicak and I am a junior nursing major! I am one of five Senators that represent the Niagara University class of 2020. As a senator I am responsible for helping plan events and advocating for the junior class. I am also a member of the Outreach and Advancement committee which helps to address concerns on campus! I am also involved in Club Volleyball, Camp Courage Crew, Student Nurses Association, and I am a Lead Community Advisor! One of my favorite things about being in NUSGA is helping to plan events that bring students together that build a community on campus. I also enjoy seeing how NUSGA enacts change on campus based on student input, such as the installation of the new water fountains, the new sidewalk, and the fire pit. One of my favorite memories from NUSGA is planning and attending our Halfway to Graduation event earlier this year! If someone was considering running for election in NUSGA, I would absolutely recommend it. It is an organization with great leadership opportunities and it allows you to be more involved on campus! I am very happy to be a part of this organization and I am thankful for the experiences, leadership skills, and friends I have gained from it!
