Hello, my name is Maitland Langworthy! I am currently a junior majoring in Birth-6th Grade Education with minors in Literacy and American Sign Language & Deaf Studies. I am a Senator in the Class of 2020 delegation. Along with NUSGA, I am the President of NU Bowling Club, Treasurer of NU Future Teachers’ Association and a member of both the ASL Club and St. Vincent de Paul Society. As a Senator, my job is to help plan events such as Halfway to Graduation, Midnight Breakfast and the Junior Trip. Also, we participate in the planning of Relaxation Week as do other delegations. My favorite thing about NUSGA is planning and helping out at events, on and off campus, that our class and delegation can enjoy. My favorite memory in NUSGA is when went shopping for our Adopt-A-Family event and picking out items for the family in time for the holidays. This is my first year a part of NUSGA and I was very hesitant in joining, but I am so grateful I did! If you are thinking about joining NUSGA, do not be afraid to run for a position and talk to members in NUSGA about their jobs and responsibilities. I would also suggest attending a meeting to see NUSGA is all about.
