Hello, my name is Maitland Langworthy! I am currently a senior majoring in Birth-6th Grade Education with minors in Literacy and American Sign Language & Deaf Studies. I am a Senator in the Class of 2020 delegation. Along with NUSGA, I am the President of NU Bowling Club, Treasurer of NU Future Teachers’ Association and a member of both the ASL Club and St. Vincent de Paul Society. As a Senator, my job is to help plan events such Countdown Days and Graduation. As well as, advocate for students so their voice is heard. Also, we participate in the planning of Relaxation Week as do other delegations. I am a part of the Traditions committee where we put on events such as FirstFest, Family Weekend, PurplePalooza and Ridgefest. My favorite thing about NUSGA is planning and helping out at events, on and off campus, that our class and delegation can enjoy. My favorite memory in NUSGA was when went shopping for our Adopt-A-Family event and picked out items for the family in time for the holidays. This is my second year a part of NUSGA so I am starting to learn the ropes more and more. If you are thinking about joining NUSGA, do not be afraid to run for a position and talk to members in NUSGA about their jobs and responsibilities. I would also suggest attending a meeting to see NUSGA is all about. My office hours are every Tuesday from 11-12. Please come and visit if you have any questions!
