Hello my name is Eva Broscius, this year I am a Sophomore at Niagara University, and I am a Biology major with a minor in Chemistry. During the 2019-2020 school year I am representing the Class of 2022 as the Sophomore Class President within NUSGA. In addition to being in NUSGA I am also the Secretary of Biology Club, a member of Circle K Club, and in the sorority Alpha Sigma Alpha. As the Sophomore Class President my main focus this year is connectivity, as well as being an advocate for my peers. Within NUSGA I am involved in our Traditions Committee, in which I help in planning different events that our school puts on. This year I will be working with others in the committee to plan the 2020 Family Weekend, and the RidgeFest Reveal Party. I love that NUSGA helps me to be able to make a difference in my college experience. It allows for so much involvement with administration, and those who can help our ideas become reality. NUSGA has taken my leadership skills to the next level and helped me to grow as an individual. My favorite memory so far has definitely been the campaigns. I love that I am able to get so much class involvement and see that our class cares just as much as those running for positions. To those thinking about joining NUSGA or those on the fence about it I would say to throw yourself into it and give it a try. There is nothing to lose and so much to gain from it. It is an outlet to change things within the University’s community, and to grow leadership skills as well as get involved with an impactful group whose main focus is to create change. If anyone has questions and wants to talk with me about NUSGA I have office hours every Monday from 2:30-3:30pm in the Clubs and Organizations Office.
