My name is Elizabeth Camara, I am a junior at Niagara University. I major in history and minor in sociology and Africana Studies. My position in NUSGA is the Chair of Diversity and Inclusion. My job is to be the liaison between NUSGA and social diversity clubs on campus. That means trying to figure what kind of support can NUSGA provide for them. When I'm not organizing clubs, you can usually find me in the OMA office providing help with anything they need. I was also a part of the Black Student Union since my freshman year. I was on the executive board, firstly as a secretary and then as the communications. This was my first semester with NUSGA and I do not regret it. One of my favorite memory would have to be, decorating the admission office. It was great to see everyone in the holiday spirit enjoying themselves. NUSGA has been an opportunity for me to gain leadership skills and to get more involved on campus. If you are a hard working person who cares about NU, then NUSGA is for you. This was my first year and they welcomed me with open arms. Do not be intimated, everyone is friendly and are also willing to help if you need it.
