Richelle Kloch

Richelle Kloch

My name is Richelle Kloch and I am a Senior Criminal Justice major with minors in Pre-Law, Computer Crime, and Forensics. I have the honor of serving as your 2018-2019 Executive Cabinet Secretary. This position has given me so many opportunities to do the work that makes me proud; advocate for my fellow students! Along with being involved in NUSGA, I am the Senior Captain for NU’s Cheerleading team, a member of the Pre-Law Association, Captain of NU’s Mock Trial Team, President of Phi Delta Phi (NU’s Pre-Law Fraternity), and President of Sigma Alpha Sigma (NU’s Honor Society).
My roles in NUSGA include taking meeting minutes at every meeting and keeping them organized in the right folders for easy access for the other representatives, keeping the office organized, making sure the office is stocked with all necessary supplies, taking attendance and keeping track of how many unexcused absences a representative has, keeping the Time Clock up to date, assisting in clerical activities delegated by the Cabinet, etc. I am also a proud Co-Chair of Outreach and Advancement. This committee promotes representation of students and access to the decision making process, along with pursuing necessary projects around campus.
My favorite thing about NUSGA is not only the close-knit family feel, but being able to make a difference on campus. This association is something so special and unique to our campus. NUSGA has allowed me to be heavily involved in campus events and projects, which I wouldn’t trade for the world. My favorite memory from NUSGA is decorating Admissions every year. It is such a fun experience where everyone comes together with Christmas cheer. We decorate, listen to holiday music, watch movies, and of course eat. The outcome is always beautiful and I know the Admissions staff appreciates it.
If someone was thinking of joining NUSGA, I would tell them to definitely join. It may be a scary thought in the beginning. There is a lot to remember and there seems to be a lot of work, but it will be the best experience you have on campus. It will get you involved and your voice will matter!
